RM198.00

Three Masters. One Stage. Classical Reimagined in Jazz!

Established in 2006, WVC has grown into one of Southeast Asia’s foremost contemporary jazz ensembles. The group has carried forward the tradition of classic touring jazz bands, performing widely across Malaysia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Macau. Over the years, they have released eight instrumental albums – among them WVC TRiO, Purnama, and River (2025) demonstrating a broad stylistic range firmly rooted in jazz.

Renowned for their imaginative jazz reinterpretations of pop hits, Chinese classics, and mainstream favorites, WVC also delves deeply into original works, often featuring evolving line-ups. The ensemble is led by pianist and composer Tay Cher Siang, alongside bassist AJ and drummer Adriel Wong. A mainstay of the Malaysian jazz scene, they are equally recognized for their high-fidelity recordings and vibrant collaborative projects.

Among their notable thematic productions are Shakespeare Jazz, Haruki Murakami and Jazz, Modern Nanyang, and the Malayan Music Project. Their artistic excellence has earned them 13 nominations at the Boh Cameronian Arts Awards, with five wins to their name. The ensemble also made a brief appearance in the film Crazy Rich Asians.
