. Rain And Flame: A Romantic Jouney For Violin And Piano
Tong Choon Ho | Violinist
Tong Choon Ho is a Malaysian violinist from Kulai, Johor, known for his expressive musicality and dedication to music education. He began studying the violin at the age of 12 under Mr. Hwang Chi-Ning, Mr. Yap Pei-Chuen, and Professor Ho Kwee-Liang.
A graduate of the University of Taipei, Tong holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in violin performance, under the tutelage of Professor Hsu Chien-Tai. During his time in Taiwan, he was an active performer, appearing with ensembles such as the Passion Music Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra and the Taipei Symphony Chamber Orchestra.
He currently teaches at Foon Yew High School (Kulai Campus), Marlborough College Malaysia, and various music institutions. He is also the co-founder of HJ Music Studio, where he is committed to nurturing young talent and promoting music education in Malaysia.

Chen Sim Cheng | Pianist
Chen Sim Cheng is a Malaysian pianist and educator whose musical journey began at the age of six. After nine years of intensive training and collaborative work in Birmingham, UK, Chen now serves as Musician in Residence at Marlborough College Malaysia, where they are committed to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of musicians.
Chen holds a Master of Music from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where they studied under distinguished pianists including Alasdair Beatson, Margaret Fingerhut, and Anthony Hewitt. Their repertoire spans from Beethoven and Prokofiev sonatas to virtuosic études and chamber music collaborations.
An advocate of traditional piano techniques, Chen combines performance with in-depth exploration into historical interpretations and technical refinement. They are passionate about connecting performance with pedagogy to deepen musical understanding.
